Bernardus Gerhardus Fourie (or Brand Fourie) was Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the Republic of South Africa in the 1970s and early 1980s. In 1982, he was appointed South African ambassador to the United States, and served from June 4, 1982 until September 23, 1985. From 1985 to 1989, he was Chairman of the Board of the South African Broadcasting Corporation.
He died in late July 2008 at the age of 91.
